Our Lady tells us: “Convert now, before the time comes when it will be too late. Satan is…” The Medjugorje apparitions are a motherly call to all believers. Our Lady’s goal is to convert every woman, man, and child in the world before it is too late — before humanity reaches the point of no return. The Heavenly Mother has extended her hand to her children, showing them the sure path to conversion: complete and uncompromising surrender to God the Father.
Our Lady often emphasized the need for conversion — which many have experienced in Medjugorje — to be complete, and not limited merely to acknowledging the fact that God exists and, as a result, becoming only a nominal believer. In fact, the status of a believer must be reflected in the life of a believer, which consists of prayer, fasting, and witnessing to the Word of God on earth.
In this sense, the conversion desired by Our Lady is not limited only to going to Holy Mass. Rather, it is a work of cooperation with God, so that all humanity may be saved from centuries of moral oppression, in which Satan has tightened his grip on people. The desired conversion must be “complete” also because, on a personal level, it is a path that cannot be traveled in a single day. The soul must be gradually purified, and once it reaches a state of purity, it must remain within the path of light, which can be maintained only through prayer.
“You cannot say that you have converted, because your life must become a daily conversion. In order to understand what you must do, little children, pray; and God will clearly tell you what you need to do and where you need to change. I am with you and I place all of you under my mantle.” The reason Our Lady has been coming among us on earth for so long is to call believers to conversion every day. We are living in a century of ruin, in which faith in God has been lost and a “faith” in false ideals is being promoted — a condition that leads to the damnation of souls.
“This century is under the power of the devil, but when the secrets entrusted to you are fulfilled, his power will be destroyed. Even now he is beginning to lose his power and has become aggressive: he destroys marriages, creates discord among priests, causes obsessions and murders. You must protect yourselves through prayer and fasting — above all, through community. Always carry blessed sacramentals with you. Bless your homes with holy water.”
Our Lady entrusted each of the visionaries with 10 secrets. Some of them are terrible warnings for humanity, while others are signs of the approaching end. One of them, the third, will be a permanent sign on the Hill of Apparitions — indestructible and undeniable proof of the existence of God and that Our Lady has truly been here among us all these years. Thanks to that sign, many will convert, but at that moment it will be too late for that. Our Lady never tires of repeating: “Hurry and convert. Those who do not believe and are waiting for the announced sign — for them it will be too late. You who believe, convert and deepen your conversion.”
